HCC Ybor City Campus President’s Community Forum – Thursday, March 30th
Dear HCC and Ybor City Campus Community Partners and Friends:
Thank you for your past support of Hillsborough Community College, the Ybor City Campus, and me in our efforts to better the lives of thousands of students and their families each year. Your guidance and attention have been invaluable.
With that, I invite you to attend our next Ybor City Campus Community Forum on Thursday, March 30th from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Ybor Room. Refreshments will be provided. The Ybor Room is in the Ybor Building at the corner of 14th Street and 9th Avenue. Parking is available in the HCC lots and the Student Garage at Palm Avenue and Nuccio Boulevard.
We will have updates on our SACS Accreditation visit, enrollment, our legislative initiatives, and new programs. There will be ample time for questions and answers as well as a tour of the Campus where you will get to meet some of our instructors and students.
As a partner and friend of HCC and the Ybor City Campus, you are invited to participate in the Community Forum and are recognized as a member of my Campus President’s Community Advisory Council. The Council is designed to enhance open dialogue between the campus administration and the community-at-large and will focus on how the campus can support the community and how the community can support the campus.
Please RSVP to my assistant, Bridget Harris, by Friday, March 24th. She can be reached at 813-253-7754 or bharris@hccfl.edu. Everyone is welcome, so if you have colleagues or friends who would benefit from attending, please invite them as well.
I hope to see you on March 30th.
Thank you for your support of HCC and the Ybor City Campus.
Shawn

Green Day’s American Idiot, Fall 2017, is a sung-through adaptation of Green Day’s rock opera, American Idiot. With a book by Billy Joe Armstrong and Michael Mayer, this Tony Award-winning musical is sure to light up the Jaeb stage and harkens back to mad Theatre of Tampa’s sold-out production of RENT in 2015.

Disaster!, Summer 2018, is a musical comedy created by Seth Rudetsky and written by Rudetsky and Jack Plotnick. Earthquakes, tidal waves, infernos, and the unforgettable songs of the 70’s like Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours, Knock on Wood, I Am Woman, Hot Stuff and Don’t Cry Out Loud take center stage in this homage to classic disaster films.
mad Theatre of Tampa, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our volunteer-based Board of Directors welcomes newcomers in all areas of performance. Our goal is to produce shows that make you laugh and think, while honoring diversity in our shows by inviting the culturally expanding community to celebrate their talent on the stage or to be a member of the audience. As a non-equity theatre company, our performers volunteer countless hours rehearsing and preparing our productions. Recent successes include Avenue Q, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Rocky Horror Show, RENT, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, Next to Normal, [title of show], Cabaret and Spring Awakening.
