National LGBT Wellness Week – Come Out for Health at Metro
in Tampa and St. Pete Activities & Events Schedule
|
Our annual Street Festival and Promenade is just around the corner and is expected to attract 90,000 – 120,000 people this year for our 10th Anniversary. In addition, we have events throughout the month of June leading up to our annual festival on June 30th and we hope that you will be a part of them again this year!
Nearly all of our sponsorships include booth space at the Street Festival, entry into the Promenade, ad space in our annual Pride guide and recognition on our website www.stpetepride.com which receives over 1,000,000 hits before the Pride festival each year. Our Pride Guide which can be viewed here has a distribution of 25,000 copies in Tampa Bay, Orlando, Sarasota and Wilton Manors, FL. The issue is released over a month before the festival and serves as a great marketing tool for your business year round. Nearly three-fourths (74%) of LGBT adults are likely to consider brands that support nonprofits and/or causes that are important to them as a LGBT person. Even in a struggling economy, LGBT consumers express an unmistakable and stronger sense of brand loyalty to companies that support their community. This requires companies to develop and maintain a trusting relationship by incorporating diversity, fairness and inclusion in its marketing plan.
Through our diverse range of sponsorship opportunities that range from $1,000 to $20,000, St. Pete Pride can help you deliver on that need. We will work to tailor our sponsorship packages to fit your unique needs and advertising goals
In addition, each year St. Pete Pride works to not only provide quality programs and events – many of which are free to the community, but also continues to give back to organizations like Suncoast Hospice, Metro Wellness & Community Centers, AIDS Walk St. Pete, ASAP, The Trevor Project, Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival and many more through our community grant program, service programs and sponsorships.
We hope that you will consider supporting St. Pete Pride this year as a sponsor. You can view the sponsorship package by clicking here. And if you have not already done so, please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I look forward to hearing from you soon and thank you in advance for your support!
Best regards,
Chris

Canada Warns Gay Travelers Over Russian Law Banning ‘Homosexual Propaganda’
The federal government has advised gay and lesbian travellers visiting St. Petersburg, Russia – a popular tourist destination – to take extra precaution in the wake of a new law in the city banning “homosexual propaganda.” Canada’s ambassador has written to the Russian government to express deep concern, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird said. “We are all deeply concerned by this legislation that runs contrary to core Canadian values of freedom of speech, of human rights and the rule of law,” Baird said on Friday during question period. www.BigGayNews.com
New York Gay Hotel Looks to Thriving LGBT Tourism
The OUT NYC Hotel boasts two hot tubs, a secret garden, its own nightclub, XL and the title of Manhattan’s first boutique hotel built specifically to cater to millions of gay tourists to New York. The hotel, not far from Times Square and Broadway theatres, also hopes to cater to the friends and families of its gay clientele. And so, turning an old concept on its head, the owners of the hotel like to describe it as “straight-friendly.” www.BigGayNews.com
My name is Kindell Workman and I’m proudly serving as the president of the PRIDE Alliance at the University of South Florida. PRIDE stands for People Respecting Individual Diversity and Equality; we are the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) and Allied group on campus. We have weekly meeting every Thursday night and monthly events. Our membership roster is over 800 students.
This year we are hosting the Florida Collegiate Pride Conference and are expecting to have around 300 students from all over the state of Florida for the weekend of March 30th – April 1st. March 30th from 9pm-11pm we will be hosting a Tampa Bay showcase as part of the conference. We would like to invite your organization to come and be represented at our showcase. We want to show collegiate students just how LGBTQ friendly the Tampa Bay community is. We will be providing you a table where you can advertise, provide information, and even sell merchandise. Not only will we be advertising this event to the Conference but also the greater USF community, there will be live music and drinks provided as well.
If this is something that interest you or you have any questions please contact me at your earliest convenience. Please feel free to forward this on to anyone you think is interested, we would really like the whole GaYBORhood to be there!
