St. Petersburg will possibly have new council members but Steve Kornell will still represent District 5 City Council District 5 seat with elections Nov. 8th. Congratulations Steve. Steve is very hardworking personable type and also is employed by the Pinellas County School District Social Worker by day. With a deep commitment to social services, community growth, expanded art within the community and safety, Steve has the full backing of the South St. Petersburg community he represents.

Biggest National RV Show at Florida State Fairgrounds
The Tampa Bay RV Show sponsored by Florida Recreational Vehicle Trade Association starts this Thursday at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Effie Awards Extend Deadline
New Entry Deadline
December 14th
The Effie Awards has decided to extend the entry deadline for the LGBT category and will now be accepting entries through December 14, 2011.*
This extension should provide entrants (especially those new to Effie) the opportunity to put their best work forward.
In order to prepare the most effective entry possible, I recommend taking advantage of the following resources:
– Effective Entry Guide (Tips on how to put together an effective entry)
– Winners Showcase (Examples of past winning cases)
– Entry Kit (Full details on requirements, etc.)
– Effie Worldwide YouTube Channel (Winning Case Presentations)
Participation in judging provides a great opportunity to review effective work and gain a better understanding of the competition in greater detail. If you are interested in judging the LGBT category, submit a judging application to be considered.
We have already received impactful submissions in the LGBT category this year. I hope you consider entering some of your work and proving you had an Idea that Worked.

We heard that local Democrat committee woman Sally Phillips had the best of times at Walt Disney World for her birthday and the Florida State Democratic Convention. Tea Cup will be bartending there every Saturday Night starting at Happy Hour. Stop by this week and check out the new bar & great 7th Ave view. The return of the “Factory Party “ is coming Thursday, Nov 10th at Honey Pot. Wonder if they will have Samantha Perkins in a bird swing??? Only in GaYBOR …. check out the new facebook page “Ybor Duck” LOL LOL!!! Al and Chuck Travel were spotted in GaYBOR. The guys & their teams are busy working on El Gancho 2012 which is during Gasparilla Invasion the end of January. New at MC Film Holiday Fashions are arriving daily. There are GLBT Holiday Cards & Naughty Stocking Stuffers. Many people were raving about the Halloween parties at The Sawmill. We have heard from many reliable sources that “Trick or Treating” has a whole new meaning at the Sawmill…. Just Say’n. Our vote for the best Halloween costume this year goes to Ryan Clements of the Bricks. This year he went as the obnoxious Ybor Street Preacher screaming profanity at ALL passerbys!!!. We must admit Ryan even fooled us. How he didn’t get beaten up is beyond us. See for yourself in this video

Ta-Da!! You have now added YborEvents.com to your Google Account, and you’ll be able to see everything going on in Ybor City, every day, on any computer and on your iPhone or Android smartphone!

Believe it or not, that was the hard part! Now let’s see what happens when you sign in to Google Calendar on your phone!

Click on the Calendar icon to open Google Calendar. If prompted to login, login with your Google email address and password.
5) Google Calendar opens to the default Month view.
6) Where it says “Multi-Calendar” at the top, click to bring down a list of all calendars you have added. You will see YborEvents in your list. If needed, check the box next to it to show the YborEvents listings in your calendar.
7) Click on the “Agenda” button at the bottom to see a list of everything happening in Ybor City today!
8) Just click any event to view details or share with friends!
THAT’S IT !!! When people add YborEvents to their Google Account, everything on the YborEvents calendar is automatically broadcast to mobile phones everywhere!
