Auction for a Night Out with a Community Leader-

Metro Wellness and Community Centers invites you to our Auction for a Night Out with a Community Leader. Join us this Friday, April 27, beginning at 6:30 pm. Our auctionees include: Kevin Beckner, Ashley Brundage, Nick Buchanan, Rick Clagett, Claire Elisan,  Dr. Jason Fields,  Miguel Fuller, James Keane, Holly O’Connor, and Rachel Stevenson. Check our Facebook page for profiles on each Community Leader.

 

Event tickets are $15, and available on our website. In addition to mingling with the community leaders during the fun event, tickets include entrance to the event, light appetizers, and a cash donation bar.

 

Auction 101:

  1. Buy a ticket to attend.
  2. Be prepared to bid on the auctionees; this can be through cash, check, or credit card.
  3. Each auctionee bid includes the “night out” experience, you will know the whole package ahead of time.
  4. Contact information will be exchanged once you win.
  5. Check out the posts featuring our auctionees and stay tuned for the posts with the included experience!

All proceeds from the auction will directly benefit and support our extensive and ever growing programming agency wide including Youth, Senior and Transgender groups, including those programs that focus on the high school, young adult, college age, and emerging professional individuals. Engaging this population in social and support programs, while introducing them to all the services Metro offers.  This includes the importance of prevention and routine HIV testing. The State of Florida is among the  top ranked states for newly diagnosed HIV infections in the United States, with youth age 17-30 being the fastest growing demographic for new infections in this area. The CDC has also reported that new Hepatitis C infections have increased 100% in Florida in the last 4 years.  Annually Metro serves approximately 12,000 individuals through our medical services, case management, STI prevention, support, and education programs targeting LGBTQ+, HIV positive, and at-risk individuals.
