Hamburger Mary’s Big Charity Event for Pulse Employees
Hamburger Mary’s Tampa threw a huge charity event Thursday night. The packed house was given a great night of community performing artists for the Orlando murder tragedy. Kurt King, dressed to the occasion as ‘Kurtrina’ and filled buckets with cash that would be passed on to the employees of Orlando’s Pulse Night Club through the Pulse Night Club Go Fund Me page.
“You have to really feel for all the people, friends, those that were wounded, killed and worked as employees at Pulse Night Club. It is on my mind. It is so sad. I knew I had to do something and now!” said Hamburger Mary’s Tampa owner, Kurt King.
Thousands came to contribute to the call of help. Attendees included Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner, Tampa City Councilman Guido Maniscalco, American Goddess winner Alexis Mateo (also 2016 Miss Tampa Pride & Miss Gay Days Orlando) and a cast of 40 performers.
Over $8,000 was collected & donated on Thursday alone. Receipts and donations are still being collected at Hamburger Mary’s Tampa & Clearwater.
