What a great honor to be a part of the movie cast in “TheJoey Brooks Story”.  scene.  TEACUP is a judge in the scene with Joey selecting a new Holiday Drag cast. The film is produced after the book with  the same title was released 2 years ago. The iconic “Tampa Drag Queen” who is ‘NOT Gay’ she confers to the audiences weekly!

     The filming for this short film was in Ybor City and Bradley’s on 7th. There was a full professional production team there under the guidance of the director and producer George. Many of the regular were extras for the day long filming of the film.

    It is easy to see why “Kinky Boots” has won so many great awards. The book written by bigger than life Harvey Fierstein and songs and lyrics written by GLBT icon, Cyndi Lauper. The play is still a major player on Broadway at the Al Hirschield Theatre in NYC.  Emmy, Tony and Grammy award winner is now playing at the Straz Performing Arts Center in Tampa. It was one of Best new musicals we have seen in a longtime.

The based on a true story reveals the changes in work and society.

    Synopsis – an Old England factory, this one being a shoe factory in London have to evolve or close their doors forever. This opens the business door to today’s business changes and the ‘performances of great Drag on the main world stage!

    The music numbers keep you jumping and the sets are visually reveling.

    The night we were there it was the biggest LGBT Club in Florida! Shows now thru December 6 at the Straz Center in Tampa. Take any seat in the house. You will totally enjoy this!!!
