The First Tampa Bay Ray’s Pride Night Out at Tropicana Field was a big hit and success. An invite from the Tampa Bay Ray’s showing their Diversity in the region for the LGBT community. A portion of the nights ticket sales will be given back to the area LGBT community groups.
It was a big hit with almost 800 LGBT and families attending the MLB Rays vs Chicago White Sox game. Special baseball hats were given to the gay baseball watchers.
Nadine Smith, Exec Director of Equality Florida threw out the opening pitch. Crescendo’s Women’s Chorus sang the National Anthem. Sally Phillips, Ercillia, Judy B. Good, Mark Earym Brad, Mike & Scott, Carrie West were in one of many locations watching the game. It was a great night out. The Rays won!!!
LGBT Community organizations attending included TAMPA PRIDE, Equality Florida, Metro Wellness and Community Centers, Manatee Pride, Crescendo and St. Pete Pride.
