Since my parents were both teachers, they often had more time than money available for vacations during school breaks. This is especially true given that they needed to feed and clothe five kids, and save for our college tuition. Consequently, they made a smart investment when they bought an International Harvester Travel all (precursor to the Suburban and other SUVs) and a Travel Master travel trailer to pull it. This allowed us to take long family road trips on a limited budget….
