In honor of LGBT Pride Month, Metro Wellness is celebrating with a bunch of Pride-themed events. Scroll down below to view our June St. Pete and Tampa Center calendars, featuring events such as:

June 2, 1:00-2:30pm- Book Signing w/ Dr. Ronni Sanlo
Lesbian author and activist Ronni Sanlo will read an excerpt from her memoir about losing custody of her children when she came out in 1979.

June 8, 6:00-8:00pm – Ruthie and Connie
Fiesty lesbian activists Ruthie and Connie, who successfully sued the NYC Board of Education for domestic partner benefits, present their documentary.

June 11, 6:30-9:00pm – Paint with Pride
A fun class for all experience levels. Sarah Dee guides you through your own Pride-themed painting from scratch! Your piece will even be featured in Metro’s Community Pride Art Show!

June 14, 6:00-9:00pm – Community Art Show
Art from various Tampa Bay LGBT artists will be on display at our St. Pete Center, from painting to scultpure and photography.

June 19, 6:30-8:30pm – Love Free or Die
WEDU presents Love Free or Die, a film about Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly gay man consecrated in a Christian denomination.

June 21, 4:00-11:00pm – Metro Masquerade @ Georgie’s Alibi Wear your best mask and gear up for St. Pete Pride at Georgie’s masquerade ball with special themed peformances benefiting Metro.

June 26, 6:00-8:30pm – For the Bible Tells Me So
Rev. Candace Shultis from Metropolitan Community Church KOP leads a forum on homosexuality and Christianity with the screening of the film For the Bible Tells Me So.
