Toast to the future Tampa Baseball Museum at the Al Lopez House
The 50-year home of Al Lopez – the first Major League baseball player from Tampa, and first hall-of-famer from Tampa – will soon become the Tampa Baseball Museum, a home for celebrating local past and present baseball greats.

Florida Department of Transportation will begin relocating the house at 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, and anticipates that the move to 2003 North 19th Street will be completed around 4 a.m. on Thursday, May 16.

Join us at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16 to celebrate a successful move and a major benchmark for Tampa Baseball Museum at the Al Lopez House, set to open in 2014. Cafe con leche will be served.
