ROCKY BRIDGES – Mixed Media Assemblage
January 7-30, 2013
Reception – Thursday, January 17 4:30-7:30pm
Artist’s Presentation 6:30
Bridges constructions are carefully composed meditations on the transience of functional, manufactured items from our contemporary material culture. The original design and function of objects and their eventual discarding becomes a metaphor for the evolving relationship of man and his environment. He attempts to express the power of positive thought through the use of color and various combinations of materials. The objects find a heightened level as they are redefined into new aesthetic roles. Rocky currently teaches are the Harrison School for the Arts in Lakeland.
