90+ Trees were Murdered in Ybor City by the City of Tampa!!!  
    Friday, Sept 21, 2012.    The tall & lucious trees only crime was providing shade & beauty to historic Ybor City. Many of these trees were 15 years and older.  The trees were located between 6st Ave on the south & 9th Ave on the north and 14th Street on the east & 20th Street on the west.  Attached are photos of 90 trees (we counted others report 100 trees gone) gone and very much missed allready.   To say the community & visiting guests to Ybor are outraged is an understatement.

Starbuck’s Returns to Ybor City
For those who have missed their Starbuck’s morning kick start we have great news!!! There is now an official Starbouk’s at HCC. Located on the corner of 9th & 15th street inside the newly re molded Cyber Cafe. Great prices and a fun staff. One of the best kept  secrets in Ybor City are the 2 restaurants at HCC. Both have great food at very reasonable prices. Fresh bagels with Cretan cheers for only $1.50 and of course the best french fries in town too!

Food Truck Thursday in Ybor City
Every Thursday from 11AM – 2 PM it’s time for a Cuban sandwich and decadent cupcake!! Located on the corner of 12th street & Palm Ave next to HCC is Michelle Faedo’s On the Go food truck.  For years we have been raving about Michelle’s Crab balls!  After they sold the restaurant they started the food truck. Now Michelle’s have won the honor of the BEST Cuban Sandwich in the State of Florida!!! What would go great with a crab ball & Cuban Sandwich???? A fantastic cup cake form the Pink Food Truck we all know as “The Cuppin Cake”. Pick up extra cup cakes to take back for all your friends. This includes MC FILM FEST PLEASE!!!! Here at MC Film we have new fun neighbors upstairs!!! The spaces is share by Interior Designer Carla D. Atkinson owner of  “Carla Atkins Design Interior Design” and Elliott Wheeler Architect.  With great humor the two tell their friends & customer that they are located in the small metal shed between MC Film & The Ybor Resort & Spa!! LOL LOL That is kinda true. The small metal shed leads to the stairs leads  to the entire second floor above MC Film.  WELCOME to our corner!!!!

You Can Not make This Stuff Up!!
We have these good friends who is almost as crazy as us!  He was a famous antique dealer who when he closed his antique store moved it into this home. Then down sized but didn’t get rid of anything!!!  So when invite to his birthday we couldn’t think of what to get him…. Then it hit us. He was having a fancy Birthday Party at his home so….. We had a head shot of a famous porn star that had just been in the are. We took the photo and autographed it. “To Mike, Thanks for the best sex ever! Next time it’s free! Love, Colt” Then we put it into a Elegant Silver picture frame and during the party left it on the back of the toilet in the guest bathroom. The next day Mike called faking he was upset & said “Only you bitches would do that!!!” We all laugher and the photo is still there years later. LOL LOL. Must have been the best every birthday gift….just say ‘n
